Most people come to us at the same point. The pool is going in, or it has just been redone, and the quotes coming back are for powder coated aluminium.
It will pass. It will also put a visual wall between the back door and everything you spent the money on. On a canal block or a home built around a hinterland outlook, that is not a small thing. It is the reason the yard never quite feels finished.
Frameless glass is the only barrier that does not do it. You look through it, so from inside the house the pool, the lawn and the water behind it all read as one space.

Why frameless only
Frameless is where we put our focus, and that’s a deliberate choice, not a gap in the range.
Anything with a post between every panel is cheaper and a reasonable product, but it’s a compromise on the one thing people come to us for. If you want the view, you want frameless. If budget is the deciding factor, there are plenty of businesses on the Gold Coast who do a good aluminium fence, and we’re happy to point you that way rather than talk you into something you’ll look at every day and feel lukewarm about
What a glass pool fence costs
Nobody wants a range. Everyone needs one, because the site sets the price.
Four things move it. How many metres. What you are fixing into, so concrete, pavers, tile or timber deck. How much fall there is across the run. And how many gates and corners.
A straight thirteen metre run on a flat concrete surround with one gate is the cheapest version of this. The same thirteen metres stepped down a slope, over pavers, with a curve and two gates, is a different build.
We publish indicative per metre ranges with the exclusions written down, so you can hold any quote up against them, including ours. Then we measure on site and give you a fixed written price.
What to expect
The call. Send your suburb and roughly how many metres you think you need. We come back within 24 to 48 hours.
On site. Todd measures the run, checks the surface, looks at the fall and talks through gate positions. Gate position is worth ten minutes of your time. It is the thing people most often wish they had moved.
The quote. Written and itemised, inclusions and exclusions on the page. If your site needs prep work, it is priced before you sign.
Made to measure. Panels are cut and toughened to your run. Toughened glass cannot be cut or drilled afterwards, which is why we measure properly rather than working off a plan.
Installed. Most residential jobs go in inside a day, usually around two weeks after you sign.
Handed over. We walk you through the gate hardware and leave you the paperwork.
The finish is where the money shows
Two fences can use the same glass and look nothing alike three years apart.
Glass. 12mm toughened as standard. Low iron glass is available where the fence sits in your main sightline, because standard glass carries a faint green cast on the edge that you notice on a long run in bright light.
Hardware. Polished, satin or black. Black reads modern next to dark window frames, which is most Gold Coast renovations at the moment.
Stainless grade. Specified to your address. Closer to the water, a higher marine grade is the right call and we price it that way rather than quietly using the standard line and letting it corrode.
Every fence we install meets the Queensland pool barrier requirements. That is a given, not a selling point.

Frequently asked questions
How high does a glass pool fence have to be in Queensland?
At least 1200mm, measured from the finished ground level on the outside of the barrier, with a 900mm non-climbable zone kept clear. That means no furniture, planters, taps or retaining wall edges inside that zone. We check it when we measure rather than after.
Is frameless glass pool fencing safe?
Yes, and safer than it looks to people seeing it for the first time. The panels are 12mm toughened glass, heat treated so they are several times stronger than ordinary glass and break into blunt granules rather than shards. With no top rail and no posts, there is nothing for a child to get a foot on.
Can you install glass pool fencing on pavers or a timber deck?
Usually yes, but it changes the fixing. Concrete takes a core drilled spigot. Pavers and timber decks generally need base plated spigots and something solid underneath. This is what we look for on the site visit and put on the quote, rather than discovering it on install day
How long will a glass pool fence last near the beach?
The glass will outlast most of the house. Hardware is what fails, usually because someone specified the wrong grade of stainless for a marine environment. Closer to the water we spec a higher grade and tell you what the rinse routine is. It is a hose and five minutes, not a maintenance contract.
